Implementation, support and upgrades

Zabbix monitoring for servers, networks and services.

Zabbix is an open source monitoring system. It spots an overloaded server, a degrading link or a service that stops responding, and alerts the person on your team who needs to act.

We implement it from scratch or tune the one you already run.

Signs your monitoring isn't helping.

  • 01

“You find out about an outage when someone calls.”

  • 02

“You get so many alerts that the important ones get lost.”

  • 03

“Some critical servers or services aren't monitored at all.”

  • 04

“You have graphs, but you don't know which problem to tackle first.”

Review my monitoring

Detect, alert and understand what happened.

Detect what matters

Availability, performance, capacity and service health monitoring.

Alert with judgment

Thresholds, dependencies and recipients defined around your operation.

Understand what happened

History, metrics and events to analyze problems and trends.

What you can monitor with Zabbix.

Zabbix covers everything from a server running out of disk space to a link that starts dropping packets.

Linux and Windows servers
CPU, memory and disk usage, processes, services and availability, with Zabbix agent or Zabbix agent 2 on each host.
Networks
Switches, routers, firewalls and links over SNMP: interface status, traffic, errors and outages.
Databases
MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or Oracle with Zabbix templates: connections, performance and storage.
Websites and web services
Availability and response time, and whether key steps in an application work, such as logging in.
Alerts to the right person
Notifications by email or any other channel you configure, with escalations and schedules based on who handles what.

Zabbix services

We start where your infrastructure needs it most.

Zabbix implementation

“We want to start monitoring our systems.”

Zabbix server, agents, network devices, services, templates, discovery and alerts, based on the agreed scope.

Implement Zabbix

Alert tuning

“We already have Zabbix, but it's too noisy.”

A review of triggers, thresholds, dependencies, recipients and coverage.

Tune my alerts

Zabbix upgrades

“Our Zabbix is out of date and we don't want to break anything.”

We plan the version upgrade: we review templates, integrations and configuration, test first and upgrade with a backup in place.

Upgrade my Zabbix

Zabbix technical support

“Something's not working and we need it fixed.”

Errors, slowness, overloaded processes or data that stops coming in. We find the cause and fix it with your team.

What a good alert should tell you.

  1. 1Which service or device has the problem.
  2. 2What condition was detected, written so anyone can understand it.
  3. 3Its priority, so you know whether to drop everything.
  4. 4What information is already available to start investigating.
  5. 5How, and to whom, it's sent, based on the rules you set.

Monitoring for ITIL and ISO standards.

Monitoring provides the availability, capacity and event data that several standards require.

ITIL
Event, availability and capacity management.
ISO/IEC 20000-1
Capacity and service availability management.
ISO/IEC 27001
Infrastructure monitoring, capacity management and event logging.
ISO 22301 (business continuity)
Early detection of failures in critical services.

Zabbix doesn't certify anything; it produces the records and metrics you present in an audit. Integrated with GLPI, each event can open an incident with its own follow-up.

Do you work on an existing Zabbix installation?

Yes. We review templates, triggers and notifications to cut the noise and cover what isn't being monitored today.

What can be monitored?

Linux and Windows servers, network devices over SNMP, web services, databases and applications. What to monitor, and with which thresholds, is defined around your operation.

Does Zabbix need its own server?

It needs a server (physical, virtual or in a cloud you manage) and network access to whatever is being monitored. Its size depends on the number of hosts and metrics.

Is Zabbix free?

Yes. Zabbix is open source and has no license fee. What you pay for is the server it runs on and the work to implement and maintain it.

Do you offer support after implementation?

Yes, in whatever format we agree on: alert tuning, new hosts, upgrades or technical support. The scope is put in writing.

Tell us what you need to monitor.

Send us your list of servers, network devices and services, and we'll put together a proposal.
